Hey Mel!!! I follow you on instagram. love your pics. anyway, I've been natural for 2 years 2 months but its only in the last month that I've actually been wearing my hair curly. I was blow drying it and using the flat iron daily. I love my hair very much but can't get it to look good after the second day. I started using the curls unleashed jelly and like it but don't want to wash and go daily. What do you recommend?? Little background info: I'm mixed, black and Latina (Puerto Rican)
I do a few different things. I band the bottom of my hair the way heritage brand by airest shows in her video.Then I two strand Bantu knot the rest of my hair. I tried your method you show on your YouTube video ( I follow you there too) but my hair didn't do. with it. the back was flat and the curls were flat and stringy.
I did. the problem might have been that I went to sleep with it wet. I use coconut oil also. Might not be using enough. I washed my hair today so I will try your method tonight and let you know how it goes. Thanks for helping.
Ok so it was a lot better than the first time I did it.My curls aren't flat and I have a ton of body. big hair day. lol. another question for you I play in my hair a lot throughout the day. and because I do my hair is frizzy. what do you use for frizz control. oh and because of you I joined curlbox and will be getting my first box in July.
Great!!! Now stop playing in your hair! LOL. I don't do anything to combat frizz really. A little coconut oil but that's it. You have to keep your hands out of your hair girl! Curlbox is awesome, you'll love trying new different things!

DeleteDid you try fluff it out? My curls get flat too.. I put coconut oil all over my hands and fluff my hair out that way.
